| Born and raised in a small Ontario town, I spent the first
part of my life living up to the expectations of others. From
school I went directly into the family steel distribution and
fabrication business, working with my father and my brother.
Though I spent 33 years “successfully” growing and
developing the business I can honestly say that I missed out
on family and life experiences as a result. My upbringing taught
me that success meant working hard, making money and saving
money. I turned to my father for approval and didn’t know
what it was like to feel unconditional love. I pushed myself
to work harder, earn more and live up to everyone else’s
expectations – never stopping to understand who I truly
was or what made me happy.
All of this changed just a few years ago. At age 50, after
overcoming an illness, I realized that something major was
missing from my life. I had a profitable business and wonderful
family yet I wasn’t truly happy. I felt discontent but
didn’t know why.
After working with many different life coaches, reading self-development
books, attending an extensive number of workshops and seminars
my perspectives and beliefs began to shift.
Throughout my journey I discovered my own intense desire
to help others. I realized that my own experiences had given
me all the tools I needed to be a life coach. I wanted to
share my growth and development and allow others the sacred
space to challenge their beliefs and change their lives. In
helping others I have found true happiness and have learned
what it means to really live – every single moment of
my life.
