| The Awakening the Self process begins
with getting to know who you are. As a Life Coach, I act as
a guide in the journey of self-discovery. I have become a very
good intuitive listener and by asking questions I can begin
to get to know who you are and what you are all about. After
a sense of trust has been established we’ll talk about
what is going well in your life and what you would like to change.
I believe that we should all be living in happiness all of the
time. As I get to know you better we’ll begin to surface
some of your current beliefs about yourself and your world.
We’ll examine your current belief-systems and establish
where they came from. Invariably I find that most people inherit
how they view the world from their parents, relatives, peers,
religious groups and schools. You may begin to discover that
you didn’t really have any say in your perspective as
you were growing up. Like most people you too were simply taught
how to think and what to think about and slowly the opinions,
attitudes and perspectives of others were adopted as your own.
There is no set formula that works for every individual in
the Awakening the Self process. Each of us is different and
so the journey is never the same for any two people. The people
who come to me are usually ones who are not completely happy
or content in their current situation. They want to change,
but are not sure where to begin. Although the Self-Help industry
has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past number
of years, I have come to realize that there are no quick fixes
in finding happiness, contentment and peace in our lives.
It is a journey just as life itself is.
The Awakening the Self process involves working with the
whole person. Although there are many specialized coaches
I have chosen to take a holistic approach to the mind, body
and spirit of each person. I have found that it becomes clear
quite quickly what is bothering each individual and that is
where we begin to work. I simply act as a guide in the coaching
process offering support and sharing knowledge that will help
you find true happiness. I recommend various techniques that
will help lead to positive change.
What to expect in a coaching session:
- Create a greater sense of awareness about yourself and
others
- Make changes in your beliefs and behaviors that will
enable you to change your current reality
- Make your thoughts your reality – change the way
you look at things in your life and watch as your life changes
before you eyes
- Become aware of your thoughts by reviewing past, personal
history
- Examine and understand your current belief systems and
reflect on how you might possibly change them
- Learn how to process your emotions so they don't remain
within you
- Discuss and sample various practices such as meditation,
journaling, communing with nature, laughter therapy, breathing,
and other techniques for relaxing the mind and body
- Begin to see a different perspective on the events and
people in your life
- Learn how to monitor your body’s energy-flow and
have some control over your feelings and emotions
- Surface the self-limiting fears that hold you back and
watch yourself soar
Through Awakening the Self coaching
I cannot promise to make your life better or more enjoyable.
You must accept personal responsibility for all changes in
your life. But, if you are willing and ready to make the appropriate
changes (no matter how small) then you can expect to see great
results from the Awakening the Self process. My purpose is
to inspire, awaken and empower by sharing love and wisdom
with others.
